Private tennis lessons for kids give your child the coach’s full focus for the entire hour. Every drill is tailored to their age, strengths, and goals, making it the quickest way to build solid technique or prepare for competitive play.
Semi-private tennis lessons let two or three kids share the court and the cost. They are a favorite with siblings and best friends, who push each other to improve while still getting plenty of individual feedback.
Group tennis lessons for kids bring together players of a similar age and level for an active, social hour. These tennis classes for kids mix skill work with team games, so children improve quickly and make new friends along the way.
Great youth tennis coaching meets kids where they are. Children are grouped by age and ability, so every player is challenged without feeling overwhelmed. Here is how the journey usually unfolds.
Our beginner tennis lessons for kids focus on fun and success. Young players learn to track the ball, move their feet, and make contact using slower, softer balls and kid-sized racquets that make rallies possible from day one.
Once kids can keep the ball in play, we sharpen the forehand, backhand, serve, and volley. Players start rallying across a full court, learn basic scoring, and begin to understand where to hit and why.
For kids who are hooked on the game, our junior tennis lessons add spin, consistency under pressure, doubles teamwork, and match strategy. This is where players prepare for school teams, local leagues, and junior tournaments.

Most children are ready for tennis lessons between ages 5 and 7, once they can follow simple instructions and track a moving ball. Starting with slower balls and smaller racquets helps young kids rally early and stay motivated.
They are slower, lower-bouncing balls designed for kids. Red balls suit roughly ages 5 to 7, orange balls are ages 7 to 9, and green balls are a step before the standard yellow ball. They make rallies easier and help children learn proper technique.
One to two lessons a week is ideal for most kids. Once a week builds steady progress, while twice a week helps children improve faster and prepare for team or tournament play.
